How do I know if a player has not linked their account in my tournament?
All new tournaments that start with DUPR as their primary rating system require players to have a linked DUPR account in order to sign up. If you started your registration before the July 31st DUPR integration, it is possible that you have players in the tournament who have not linked their DUPR accounts.
In your tournament admin on pickleballbrackets.com, there is now a report that will inform you of all players that have not linked their DUPR accounts. From your 3-line (Hamburger) menu, select the "Reports" tab:
Under the attendees section, select the "Players without DUPR" report to view all those without a listed DUPR account:
How do I communicate with those players who are not linked?
To contact all the players who have not linked their DUPR account, use the 3-line (Hamburger) menu and select the "Messages" tab to form and send an email:
Click on the green "Add a Campaign" button. Once inside, we need to start to fill out the emails basic form.
#1 - This section MUST be set to yes for the email to send at the desired sending time/date.
#2 - This campaign title is just for you. This will not show in the subject/title of the email.
#3 - Enter the email address you wish any reply email to be sent to
#4- Enter the senders name of the email
#5 - This is the email type and is important. Select the "Players without DUPR" option and this email will ONLY go to those players who don't have a DUPR account connected
#6 - Date and time you wish the email to be sent. Emails take time to send, so we recommend you give them at least 30 minutes to que before the sending time.
#7 - You can select to send only to players who registered in a specific period of time
#8 - You can select to only send to a specific Gender
The remaining selections are all the different brackets in your tournament. You can select to only send to those players without a linked DUPR in a specific bracket if you want by selecting only those brackets.
Once you have selected all the Filters, click on the email templates section to open the body of the email and enter the Title and information to be sent to the players. Once completed, be sure to save your email.
How do the results send to DUPR?
When you set up your events for your tournament, every event had an option in the basic information section to "Count Games Toward DUPR Ratings." For an event to transfer to DUPR this selection MUST be turned on for the events. The system is set to "yes" automatically, so as long as you didn't turn this off during setup you are set.
Once your tournament is over and all the results have been entered and brackets marked completed, you have 5 days to make any final changes/refunds in your tournament before it locks and changes are no longer allowed.
To verify that you are set to lock after the 5 days, check your "Live Console" to make sure all your events are listed as completed. If you have ANY event in the Verify, Waiting or Running tab, the tournament will NOT lock after 5 days and will delay the sending of DUPR results.
Once the tournament locks, results will be automatically sent to DUPR. You will not need to take any other steps for the send.
What is players aren't linked to DUPR when the tournament locks?
DUPR has put into place a process that will create a temporary account with the results under the players email address used in pickleball.com. This allows for the results to successfully send for those players that did link regardless of the status of those who have not linked.
Once the player who hasn't linked goes in and completes the linking process, the information from the tournament will be automatically added to their rating. This process will ensure that all players results are being calculated for your tournament even if they are not linked.
