League Set up - League Descriptions

League Type:  Choose from Ladder, Traditional League, King of the Court or DUPR.




League Type Descriptions


Ladder League

  1. League Structure: Players will move up and down "ladder" based on match results.

  2. Game Day: Matchups are created based on players’ rank.

  3. Rankings: Players move up or down based on standings in round robin groups.

  4. League Duration: Sessions are often created for 6 - 8 weeks.

Traditional League

  1. League Structure: Players will play against every other player in the league once.

  2. Game Day: Players will only play against one opponent each week, maximum of three games.

  3. Rankings: Teams will be ranked based on win and losses.

  4. League Duration: Sessions should be scheduled based on number of teams (i.e. 8 teams = 7 weeks)

King of the Court

  1. League Structure: Players will play with and against a variety of players.

  2. Game Day: Players can play as many matches as league manager allows.

  3. Rankings: Players will be ranked based on DUPR rating.

  4. League Duration: Sessions can be one-day events or multi-week.

DUPR Session (Similar to King of the Court)

  1. League Structure: Players will play with and against a variety of players. DUPR REQUIRED.

  2. Game Day: Players can play as many matches as league manager allows.

  3. Rankings: Players will be ranked based on DUPR rating.

  4. League Duration: Sessions are one-day events
