Tournament Director - How to Manually add Additional Medals to an Event

Created by Brandon S, Modified on Mon, Apr 1 at 1:12 PM by Brandon S

The software is built to allow Tournament Directors to choose to automatically award medals in combined events based on the age events they originally signed up for.  There is not an automatic skill level split for medals.

To set an event up for automatic separation of medals based on age, log into your tournament and then go to the 3-line menu and select the "Events" tab:

Locate the event you wish to split out the medals by age and select the "Edit Event" tab (pencil icon).  Once inside locate the "Additional Medals for Age" section and add in the breakdown you wish to make.  Any changes made to the event here will show as separate medals on the "details and results" tab once the tournament is over.

It is possible to award additional medals to an event for skill/age or whatever breakdown you want.  *Note - these changes will NOT show on the "details & results" tab once the tournament is over.

Go to the 3-line menu and select the "Live Console" tab:

Once an event has completed, you will see a red "Complete & Verify Medal Assignment" option.  Select this:

Full standings will automatically be determined.  Choose the green "Save & Complete Event" option.  A box will appear (see below) saying "Success! Choose your action below.  Choose the "Go to Final Standings" option:

Directly under the players name, if you chose to "Merge" the events, the original event the players signed up for will show.  This makes it easy to determine a skill/age breakout.  As you see, the top team was 3.5, while the 2nd, 3rd and 4th teams show as 3.0.  You can now manually assign an additional medal to those teams if you wanted to medal the 3.0 separate from 3.5.  Again, these medals WILL NOT show on the "details & results" page.

Once added, you will see a small medal shown next to the event name:
