Tournament Director - How to Verify my brackets in Live Console

Created by Brandon S, Modified on Mon, Apr 1 at 1:07 PM by Brandon S

Once you are logged in to your tournament, use the 3-line menu and select the "Live Console" option:

The first step to creating your brackets is to verify them and add in the details of how you want the event to perform.  Select the "Verify Event" tab on your event to begin the setup:

The first step in the process is to verify the teams that will participate in the event.  Any single players listed without a partner will show under the "Bad Teams" section and will not be included in the bracket.  Once you have decided that the number of teams in your listed bracket is correct, select "Save" to continue:

In our second tab we have the type of format that will be used for the bracket.  Each option will give you the number of total matches to be played in the bracket for that given format.  Once you have selected the type of format, select "Save."

(For round robin, the number of rounds is in tab #3)

Tab #3 first option is the number of rounds for your round robin event.  If the group is small and you want everyone to play each other multiple times, this is the area to make that change.

Medal Round Robin with elimination bracket section is only used if you want to host a playoff after your round robin event.  Selecting yes will give you different options on how the playoff is formatted.

Print next available matches automatically is used when you are utilizing the court desk feature and want the software to print matches as they become available.  Setting up the selections listed below and using the Print Spooler (under Venue tab in edit tourney) will tell the software to automatically print matches as they become available.

The last section is what play format you would like to use for the round robin matches.

Tab #4 offers you the ability to custom seed your players.  You can use the "Sort Item" button, or simply drag and drop the team into the spot you would like them to be in.

Tab #5 allows you to change first round matchups in the event the players are from the same area.  If they have the same Club listed on their profile, the system will identify this by showing the "Opponents clubs are the same" text at the bottom of the matchup.  To swap the players around, simply click on the downward arrow on the players you wish to move and select a different seeding number.  This will swap the 2 seeded teams to create a new first round matchup.

Tab #6 provides a detailed overview of the choices you have made.  Once you have approved all the choices are correct, you can select the "Complete Verification" to finalize your event.

Repeat these steps for each of your events.  You will notice the event now shows under your waiting tab.  This event is ready to start on the day of the tournament.  Any changes that need to be made to the event can be made by selecting the "Options" tab and the "start over/Un verify" tab.
